Explaining supplied water in a Lembongan villa

Published by HostKeeper Bali ·

A welcome note should state what water is actually provided and how guests obtain more. Do not turn assumptions about the property’s water system into claims about suitability for drinking.

This is an owner guide. HostKeeper’s operating priority is Uluwatu and the Bukit; management in this area must be confirmed for the exact property before any agreement.

Verify the current arrangement

Check the product or supply arrangement used at the villa and the information available from its actual provider. Note which container or dispenser guests should use. If suitability for drinking has not been established, do not describe other outlets or an installed filter as providing drinking water.

Write a simple guest card

A model card can say where the provided water is located, how to operate the supplied container and whom to contact for replenishment. Fill those fields from the current arrangement. Keep instructions clear, and do not promise unlimited supply or an included service unless that has been agreed.

Recheck during room preparation

Confirm that the stated water provision matches what the next guest will find. Inspect the supplied container and follow the provider’s handling guidance where available. If a source or product changes, update the card before arrival and ask the responsible person to resolve any uncertainty.

Fictional example · A changed dispenser needs changed guest instructions

In a fictional Lembongan villa, the welcome card points guests to a dispenser in the kitchen, but the next preparation finds a different supplied container beside the dining area. The coordinator checks the actual product and current provider information before updating the card. They do not extend the drinking-water statement to a tap or another installed filter whose suitability has not been established. The revised instructions identify the provided container, any confirmed operation guidance and the contact for replenishment. Availability is checked again before arrival. The example deals with accurate information and provision, not a claim about all local water sources or a guarantee based on the appearance of water.

Choose the supplied arrangement you can verify

Name the specific provided water and location, using the actual provider's information rather than an assumed property-wide claim. If the arrangement changes, revise the card before guests arrive. Keep replenishment terms explicit and obtain clarification for any uncertainty; an installed filter or clear-looking water is not enough evidence to make a drinking-water promise.

Practical owner checklist

  • Confirm the actual water product or provider.
  • Identify the container guests are directed to use.
  • Explain replenishment from the agreed arrangement.
  • Update instructions whenever the provision changes.

Questions owners ask

Does an installed filter prove water is suitable for drinking?

No. Do not infer suitability from equipment alone. Use verified information about the actual supply before making a drinking-water claim.

Update the card when the supplied product changes

Hypothetical example — not a client result or a market forecast

Hypothetical scenario: 2 water stations have 2 instruction cards. The upstairs station receives a different supplied product, while the downstairs arrangement is unchanged. Review the new provider’s information, replace the 1 affected card and check both stations during preparation. If drinking suitability remains unverified, the new card cannot claim it; a working dispenser alone does not settle that question.
