Building a villa in Bali: photograph services before they disappear

For an Australian owner coordinating construction from abroad, a simple photo log can make future repairs far more precise.

  • Before plaster, tiles or ceilings close, photograph water lines, drains, electrical conduits and air-conditioning pipework.
  • Take one wide room view, then close-ups with a tape measure or fixed reference for scale.
  • Name every file by room, wall and date; link it to the current plan revision.
  • Add test evidence—pressure, flow, circuits and drainage—plus the trade responsible for any correction.
  • Keep the folder in the owner handover pack so future drilling, leaks and repairs start with facts.

This construction-record checklist is not engineering, legal or investment advice. Ask qualified local professionals to inspect and test every installation before it is concealed.
