  • Stay nearby for a few days and repeat essential routes in the morning, at midday and after dark.
  • Time trips to groceries, a clinic, a bank and the airport; traffic can change whether a location feels practical.
  • Walk the entrance, steps, bathrooms and outdoor areas at night; check grip, handrails and lighting.
  • Test water pressure, hot water, mobile signal and Wi-Fi, then ask about backup plans for service interruptions.
  • List rent plus electricity, pool, garden, cleaning, transport and maintenance costs before comparing villas.

This is a practical lifestyle checklist, not legal, visa, financial or investment advice. Confirm the lease, services and personal requirements with qualified local professionals.
